the artist
When I was in my twenties, a friend taught me to take pictures with an old Wardflex. Some of my best work was produced during those early years. The work that you see here spans more than 25 years since.
I was born in  Iowa during the war years,  to a tall,  handsome soldier and a reserved  lady  with a pretty voice.  My parents were very poor but not without talent. My greatest joy as a child was singing.
I have two beautiful daughters  of whom I am enormously proud.  They  have been the shining  subjects of some of my best photographs.
It was not until about the year 2000  that I was emboldened to think that I might take my place amongst other professionals in the arena.  The vision having begun,  it is gathering  momentum, and  I am grateful to anyone who ever said a kind or encouraging word to me. They are every bit a gift from God, as the spark they fanned into life.
